Built in 1970, this light-filled post-and-beam home was designed by architects Barry Downs and Peter Oberlander and set within a tranquil West Coast garden designed by landscape architect, Cornelia Hahn Oberlander. The wood and glass house reflects traditional Bauhaus aesthetics including large open spaces, geometric shapes, a floating staircase and floor-to-ceiling windows which maximize views to and from the forest which envelopes the home. This synergy between the sleek building, its spacious interior and its site creates a unique Pacific Northwest home which celebrates a local mid-century design.
